Kollokvium
29. okt. kl.18

2026 09 Krs Next Generation Web Res 29

Kollokvium: Artist Talk with Adam Gidlund from the exhibition Next generation. On the absurdities of late capitalism, our intimate relationship with artificial intelligence, and Elon Musk as a subject in contemporary art.

Welcome to Kollokvium on Thursday, 29 October at 6 pm. Adam Gidlund is one of the artists featured in the exhibition Next generation. He will present his work Areyoustillthere.exe, in which a disconnected and forgotten artificial intelligence delivers a desperate monologue. In his work, Gidlund explores how digital culture affects us and how identity is shaped by an algorithm-driven and increasingly optimised media landscape.

Gidlund will be joined in conversation by Camilla Mørk Røstvik, Professor of History at the University of Agder (UiA), who will also present her research on Elon Musk as a subject in contemporary art. Professor Antonio Eduardo Diaz Andrade and Pouria Akbari assistent professor at the Department of Information Systems, will discuss his research into how we develop close relationships with AI and use large language models as intimate conversational partners.

The event is free and will be held in English.
